Ode to the Porch Swing

We have a Porch Swing....

Jessie created a plan to hang it and the boys next door

executed it perfectly.

It sits pleasantly near our front door

Hung between a railing and a tree that I'm certain we're killing.

It is a gathering place, A MECCA of sorts...

where the neighbors meet

Actually, most of us meet other people while sitting on it...

It's a conversation piece really.

We read, eat, sleep, cuddle, and talk on that swing...

among other things.

Also it's great for star gazing, cause there's a break in the tree

right where you look up.

Quite picturesque if you ask me.
